- The engine is a 350 horse 396 big block. It was disassembled, machined and cleaned, then reassembled. The engine cylinders are bored .060 oversized. All the internal parts except the rods and crankshaft are new and these components were machined. The crankshaft is turned .060-.060 mains and rods. The engine has been completely balanced. The block deck has been machined and block main saddles were align bored.
- The engine and components are PERIOD CORRECT. The production date for this car is the fourth (4th) week of March 1968.
1. The engine block casting number is 3935440, date coded March 22, 1968.
2. The cylinder heads casting numbers are 3917215, both date coded February 21, 1968.
3. The intake manifold casting number is 3883948, date coded March 1, 1968.
4. The carburetor number is 7028218, date coded January 24, 1968.
5. The distributor number is 1111169, date coded 1968 Mar 12
6. The exhaust manifolds casting numbers are 3909879 left side and 3916178 right side and are reproductions.
7. The alternator number is 1100796; a 61 amp unit to handle the air conditioning, date coded March 1968.
- The transmission has been completed disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. It is a 1968 production unit. All the new parts were installed by a trained transmission specialist at Ancira Chevrolet, San Antonio, TX. The flywheel is new.
