- Once the body was removed, the frame is stripped. It and other related components were readied for a trip to the blaster. Following sand blasting of the frame and all related components, all the parts are painted with semi-gloss black frame paint. Then all the parts were prepared to be installed on the frame.
- New coil springs are put in the front suspension with all new ball joints and control arm bushings. The ball joints are installed with rivets to duplicate the factory installed ball joints. All the front suspension bumpers are new and put into place.
- The steering linkage is put together with new tie rod ends, Idler arm, center link and a remanufactured close ratio power steering gear box. A new rag joint is installed on the lower end of the intermediate steering shaft to tie the steering gear box to the steering column. The GM designated steering intermediate shaft was installed. This shaft was made with both end removable and repairable.
- The blasted and painted engine motor mount pads are installed on the front cross member, readying them for the installation of the 396 big block. These pads are designed for any Chevelle with a big block engine installed.
- The new replacement brake lines and fuel lines are installed on the frame with factory retainers, clips and brackets. The lines were purchased from the Right Stuff.
