- When the body returned from the blasting facility, it was painted with self etching primer. The body was basically free of external rust. The floor in the passenger area needed attention and the trunk floor needed to be replaced.
- As is visible in the original body pictures the only external area on the body that really needed attention was the area between the trunk opening and the rear window. This area is notorious for rusting out under the vinyl on the 1968 and 1969 Chevelles. A look through the body work pictures will provide a view of the repairs done to this area of the car.
