As we drove into Cape Canaveral it became obvious we were getting close to the Kennedy Space Center when out from the trees the External tank and solid rocket booster appeared along with the JFK Space Center Visitors Complex.   As we parked you could see some of the previous rockets that have been placed on display here.

Unfortunately, it started to rain and I was not able to take as many pictures as I would have liked, but I found a dry spot and snapped a few.

There was so much to see and do.  Please do not make the mistake I did.  Unfortunately, I only had 5 hours to spend at the Kennedy Space Center.  I was only able to touch the tip of the ice berg.  You can spend all day here.  We were not able to see any of the I-Max movies documenting the past, present or future of our flight into space.

Please, if you get the chance, remember to plan this as an all day event, and do it in the spring or fall and not the middle of June when it's 95 degrees and raining!
