This is the Vehicle Assemble Building (VAB) and is the location where the Space Shuttle is maintained and stored between missions.  It is the 3rd largest building of this kind.  Meaning not compared to office buildings.  The American flag painted on the side of the building is so large that one strip is as wide as a bus.
